FRAPORT SKYLINERS tabs big Ohlbrecht
Tim Ohlbrecht - Brose BasketsFraport Skyliners added a familiar name to its frontcourt by signing big man Tim Ohlbrecht. The deal is through December to help the club offset an injury to Jermareo Davidson, but Skyliners have an option to extend the contract for the remainder of this season as well as the 2012-13 campaign. Ohlbrecht (2.10 meters, 23 years old) has spent the past two seasons with Telekom Baskets Bonn, for whom he averaged 6.7 points and 4.9 rebounds in 27 German League games last season. He has extensive experience at Europe's top levels. He last played in the Eurocup for Bonn two years ago, when he averaged 7.8 points and 4.5 rebounds. Ohlbrecht made his Euroleague debut as a teenager with Brose Baskets Bamberg in the 2007-08 season. He grew up with Giants Leverkusen before signing for Bamberg in 2006. Ohlbrecht is also a member of the German national team, with whom he is currently playing at EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania.

"I am very happy that we were able to add a player like Tim," head coach Muli Katzurin said. "He is young, talented, tall and comes with many good qualities. He will be able to help us in many areas. On the other hand, we can help him continue to develop and improve his game. It is important for us to have good German players in the squad - both for the present, and for the future. "
