VALENCIA BASKET brings in Kuksiks
Rihards Kuksiks (Photo: FIBA Europe / Castoria / Molliere)Valencia Basket announced on Tuesday morning the addition of Latvian forward Rihards Kuksiks for the coming season with an option for the 2012-13 season. Kuksiks (2.01 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Arizona State University, where he played from 2007 through last season. He averaged 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in over 27 minutes per game last year. He led the Latvian national team in scoring with 16.0 points per game at Eurobasket 2011 in Lithuania. Kuksiks also averaged 4.2 rebounds and led the team with 18 three-pointers made. He could be among the major perimeter threats in the Eurocup next season, where he will make his debut.
