VALENCIA re-signs star forward Claver
As announced by the club on Friday morning, forward Victor Claver has extended his agreement with Valencia Basket for two more years. Claver (2.06 meters, 23 years old) is the franchise player at the club, where he made his debut in 2006 at only 17. Last season he averaged 10.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 14 Turkish Airlines Euroleague appearances, even though he got injured in the last part of the season and missed the Quarterfinal Playoffs his team eventually lost to Real Madrid in five games. Despite his young age, Claver is already an experienced player with a long list of accolades. He won the 2010 Eurocup with Valencia and with the Spanish national team he has also won two gold medals at the 2009 and 2011 Eurobaskets. He also won the 2009-10 Rising Star award in the Eurocup. Claver will stay with the club until June of 2014.
