CEZ NYMBURK adds combo-guard Abrams
CEZ Basketball Nymburk bolstered its backcourt with the signing of AJ Abrams. The combo-guard begins his third season in Europe after previously playing in Greece and Italy. Abrams (180 meters, 25 years old) is an elite shooter who finished his college basketball career at the University of Texas among the all-time leaders in three-pointers. His 389 triples for the Longhorns rank him 12th on the NCAA career list and first in school and Big 12 Conference history. Abrams also holds Texas records for three-pointers in a season (120), free-throw percentage in a season (92.4%) and games played (144). After finishing his Texas career, Abrams played for Trikala in the 2009-10 campaign and last season for Scaligera Basket Verona, where he averaged 13.9 points on 33.3% three-point shooting in nine Italian second division games.
