Darnell Jackson (Photo KU Athletics)BC Donetsk shored up its frontline with the signing of Darnell Jackson. The big man has spent the past three seasons in the NBA playing for Cleveland, Milwaukee and Sacramento. Last season Jackson (2.06 meters, 25 years old) averaged 3.2 points in 1.6 rebounds as a reserve for Sacramento. Before that he enjoyed a standout career at the University of Kansas and helped the Jayhawks to four Big 12 Conference titles and the 2008 NCAA championship. During his college career, Jackson played alongside current CSKA center Sasha Kaun, Maccabi Electra guard Keith Langford and PAOK swingman J.R. Giddens. He is expected to make his debut with Donetsk this weekend in the Ukrainian League and his Eurocup debut against Hapoel Jerusalem on opening night, November 15.
