CRVENA ZVEZDA finds new coach in Vukoicic
Crvena Zvezda Beograd Diva has switched coaches right before the start of the 2012-13 Eurocup season. The club reached an agreement with Vlada Vukoicic, who is set to lead the team until the end of the season. He replaces Milivoje Lazic, who coached the team to consecutive losses in the Adriatic League and reached an agreement with the club the terminate his contract. Vukoicic, age 39, has been a successful coach with FMP Zeleznik in the past. He led FMP to lift the Adriatic League trophy in 2006 and won the Serbian Radivoj Korac Cup in 2007. Vukoicic also helped FMP to make it to the ULEB Cup semifinals in 2007, losing against Lietuvos Rytas. He has also coached Hemofarm and Mega Vizura in Serbia, Bosna in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Oostende in Belgium. “I am aware of what Crvena zvezda expects from a head coach. I think it is a real privilege is to coach a team like Crvena Zvezda," Vukoicic said right after being announced as his team's new coach.
