CRVENA ZVEZDA DIVA inks Scott
Crvena Zvezda Diva Belgrade bolstered its frontcourt right before the start of the 2012-13 Eurocup by inking forward Mike Scott for the remainder of the season, the club announced Wednesday. Scott (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Belgacom Spirou Charleroi, where he averaged 7.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in 3 Belgian League this season. He had a strong 2011-12 season with Serbian powerhouse Radnicki Kragujevac, where he averaged 17.5 points and 6.6 rebounds in 22 Adriatic League games. Scott returns to the Eurocup after two years, as he averaged 13.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 14 games with BG Goettingen in 2010-11. He has also played for Kormend in Hungary and Trabzonspor in Turkey since finishing his four-year college career at Kent State University. Scott replaces Morris Almond, who has been released. "We have been following Scott for a long time," Zvezda director Davor Ristovic said. "He has experience in the Eurocup and the Adriatic League. I am sure he is going to help us a lot."
