ZASTAL ZIELONA GORA re-signs Hodge for two years
Walter Hodge - Zastal Zielona Gora (Photo: plk.pl)Zastal Zielona Gora re-signed its star player over the past two seasons, point guard Walter Hodge, for an additional two years. Hodge (1.82 meters, 25 years old) was the Polish League regular season MVP last year. He led the Polish League in scoring with 19.4 points per game – more than 3 points more than any other player. He also ranked third in assists with 5.7 per game and fifth in steals (1.4 spg.). A native of Puerto Rico, Hodge moved to Florida for high school and was a teammate of CSKA Moscow center Sasha Kaun at Florida Air Academy. He later played college basketball at the University of Florida. Hodge helped the Gators win back-to-back NCAA championships in 2006 and 2007. He later played alongside future Euroleague champion Nick Calathes at Florida.
