SPARTAK SPB, Zavoruev extend deal
Russian team BC Spartak St. Petersburg and guard Vasily Zavoruev reached an agreement to stay together for two more years as the club announced. Zavoruev (1.96 meters, 25 year old) averaged 1.5 points and 0.3 rebounds in four Eurocup games last season, including the two in the Eurocup Finals. He arrived in Spartak in 2008 and played there for two seaons. He then left in 2010 to play with Dynamo Moscow, but was back to Spartak for 2011-12. He started his pro career with CSKA Moscow in 2005, coming from the junior team of the club. As part of CSKA he won a Euroleague title in Prague in 2006. He also won three Russian Leagues and two Russian cups with CSKA. He also played in Cyprus with AEL and Ukraine with Standard Kiev.
