ARTLAND DRAGONS land veteran Wilson
The Artland Dragons announced the arrival of forward Lamayne Wilson for the following season. Wilson (2.03 meters, 32 years old) arrives from CEZ Basketball Nymburk, where last season he averaged 11.0 points and 5.1 rebounds in 14 Eurocup appearances. Wilson played college ball in Troy St. and in 2002 he moved to Latvia to play with Skonto Riga and the following season he moved to Russia to join Avtodor Saratov. A real globetrotter, Wilson then played in several teams and countries including China, Philippines, United States or Germany. In 2005 he landed in Cholet of France, in 2006 he played with Cantu in Italy and in 2007 he was back to France to join Asvel Basket, making his debut in the Eurocup. In 2008-09 he switched sides with SLUC Nancy as he made his Euroleague debut with 12.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 9 games. In 2009-10 he moved to Turkey to join Turk Telekom Ankara and in 2010-11 he helped Budivelnyk Kyiv. During his career he has won a French Cup with Asvel, a Ukranian League title with Budivelnyk and the Czech double crown with Nymburk last season.
