VALENCIA BASKET completes roster with Pietrus
Valencia Basket closed its roster for the 2012-13 season with the re-signing of Florent Pietrus to a one-year deal with an option to another. Pietrus (2.02 meters, 31 years old) averaged 3.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 32 Spanish League games last season and 5.4 points and 3.5 rebounds in 13 Eurocup games. Pietrus has played the last four seasons in Valencia since he arrived in 2008 except for a one-month stint at Caja Laboral at the beginning of 2010-11. He started as a pro player in Pau-Orthez of his native France in 1998 and played there until 2004. The summer of that year he moved to Spain to join Unicaja Malaga, where he spent another three seasons, winning the Spanish League title in 2006. He spent one season in Estudiantes Madrid before joining Valencia in 2008, with which he won the Eurocup title in 2010.
