CHOLET BASKET signs swingman Ubiles
Edwin Ubiles (nba.com)Cholet Basket signed swingman Edwin Ubiles over the weekend. Ubiles (1.98 meters, 25 years old) comes off a brilliant rookie season with Dakota in the NBA's D-League. He averaged 19.6 points, 5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 41 games en route to capturing Rookie of the Year and All-NBA D-League First Team honors and earning a selection to the league’s all-star game. Ubiles also played four game for Washington in the NBA last year, during which he averaged 3.5 points and 2.5 rebounds. He was a star player at Siena Colllege, where he finished his career third on the school's all-time scoring charts with 1,939 points. Ubiles has also featured with the Puerto Rican national team.
