Regular season Game 1 MVP: Matt Lojeski, Telenet Oostende

A stellar performance in a winning effort allowed Matt Lojeski of Telenet Oostende to become the first weekly MVP of the 2012-13 Eurocup season. In his competition debut, Lojeski stood out as he led Oostende to an 84-65 home win over Panionios BC Athens. The 27-year-old shooting guard amassed 22 points on 6-of-10 two-point shooting, 1 of 2 three-pointers and 7 of 8 free throws. He added 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals a block and 5 fouls drawn for a performance index ranking of 34, which was the second best on any Oostende player in the club’s lengthy participation in the Eurocup. Allan Ray of Ratiopharm Ulm helped his team to its first-ever Eurocup win against Cholet Basket with 25 points on 10-of-12 two-point shooting, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals for a 33 index. Five other players stood out with index ratings of 28: - Lojeski’s teammate Wes Wilkinson, Darryl Watkins of PBC Lukoil Academic Sofia, Sergey Karasev of BC Triumph Lyubertsy, Lamont Hamilton of Gescrap Bilbao Basket and Pau Ribas of Valencia Basket, who complete the top individual performances in regular season Game 1.
Individual highs: Miljan Pavkovic of CEZ Nymburk, 10 assists
Karasev was the week's top scorer with 27 points in Triumph's road win against Le Mans Sarthe Basket. John Bryant of Ratiopharm Ulm and Charles Kahudi of Le Mans led all rebounder by pulling down 12 apiece against Cholet and Triumph, respectively. Miljan Pavkovic dished a league-high 10 assists in Nymburk's home win against BC Budivelnik Kiev. Darryl Watkins of Lukoil led all Week 1 players in blocks by rejecting 4 shots against Belgacom Spirou. Mire Chatman of Unics Kazan collected more steals than any other player, 6, in a road win at Stelmet Zielona Gora. Six players – Lamont Hamilton, John Bryant, Arminas Urbutis of BC Prienai, Adam Waczynski of Trefl Sopot, Axel Hervelle of Bilbao and Dwayne Anderson of s.Oliver Baskets Wuerzburg recorded double-doubles. Only Hamilton (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Hervelle (11 points, 11 rebounds) were the only teammates to do so.
