Valencia's Lucic to have foot surgery
Jan 10, 2014
One of Valencia Basket's biggest off-season signings, forward Vladimir Lucic, might miss the rest of the Eurocup season after doctors decide to operate on the left foot that has given him problems for more than two months. Lucic (2.02 meters, 24 years old) played in just three Eurocup regular season games before the injury sat him down. A course of conservative treatment has not worked, so now surgery has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 14. Lucic is expected to spend between two and three months in recovery. Lucic arrived to Valencia this summer after three full Turkish Airlines Euroleague seasons with Partizan Belgrade. Last year, he averaged 13.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals as top-20 performer in the Euroleague regular season.
