Dynamo extends Antonis Fotsis

Antonis Fotsis - Dynamo Moscow 2006 ULEB Cup champion Dynamo Moscow has officially announced that power forward Antonis Fotsis extended his contract for two more years, until the end of the 2008-09 season. Fotsis comes off a fantastic season which Dynamo in which he broke the Euroleague's single-game rebounds record by grabbing 24 in a do-or-die Top 16 game against Benetton Treviso. That win allowed Dynamo to advance to the Euroleague Quarterfinal Playoffs in its first-ever appearance in the competition. Fotsis also earned weekly MVP honors twice in the Top 16, as well as averaging 13.8 points on 44.3% three-pointers, 84.7% free throws and 7 rebounds in 22 Euroleague games. Fotsis also helped Dynamo to win the 2006 ULEB Cup, becoming one of the only four players to lift both the Euroleague and the ULEB Cup trophies along with Lazaros Papadopoulos, Robertas Javtokas and Dejan Tomasevic. Fotsis has also played for Real Madrid in Spain, the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA and Panathinaikos in Athens throughout his career. He helped Panathinaikos to win the 2000 Euroleague title, as well as five Greek League trophies from 1998 to 2003. Fotsis also won the Spanish League with Madrid in 2005, the year in which he helped Greece to win the EuroBasket.
