Paris-Levallois tabs veteran big man Ford
Sharrod Ford - Brose Baskets - EB13

On its way back to the Eurocup for the second consecutive season, Paris-Levallois reached an agreement to have veteran big man Sharrod Ford help fill up the paint for the upcoming one. Ford (2.06 meters, 31 years old), who can play both a power forward and center, arrives from Brose Baskets Bamberg, where he spent the past two years in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague. Last season, in seven Euroleague games, Ford posted 8.7 points and ranked third in the regular season with 7.6 rebounds per contest. In the German League last season, Ford averaged 8.3 points and 4.9 rebounds, while hitting 39% of his shots from behind the arc. Ford played college ball in Clemson from 2001 to 2005 and that year made his NBA debut with the Phoenix Suns, then moved to the D-League with the Fayetteville Patriots. In 2006, he joined Alba Berlin and also made his Eurocup debut, while the following season he moved to Italy to play with Montegranaro. In 2008, he switched teams and moved to La Fortezza Bologna and in 2009 he went to Russia to play with Spartak St. Petersburg. After his second stint with Montegranaro, Ford signed with FC Bayern Munich but left the club due to personal reasons. After a brief stay back in the D-League with Erie Bay Hawks, he joined Bamberg in 2012, making his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut.
