Asvel lands Wilson, Nsonwu-Amadi
Asvel Basket Lyon Villeurbanne took two steps towards completing its roster with the signings of American small forward Lamayn Wilson and Nigerian rebounder Uche Nsonwu-Amadi. Wilson (203, 27) arrives from Cantu in Italy, where he averaged 9.2 points and 5.8 rebounds over 25 minutes in 37 games last season. He first played in France for Cholet in the 2005-06 season. Wilson has also spent time in Latvia, Russia and Germany. Nsonwu-Amadi (208, 29) averaged 12.6 points and 8.6 rebounds in 26 minutes per game last season for French League quarterfinalist Gravelines-Dunkerque. Nsonwu-Amadi, who is expected to complement power forward Chevy Troutman in the post, has previously played in Poland, Turkey, Belgium and Israel.
