Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas inks Kuric
Kyle Kuric joins Gran Canaria
Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas added firepower to its roster by signing scoring ace Kyle Kuric to a two-year deal on Thursday. Kuric (1.93 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Tuenti Movil Estudiantes Madrid, where he averaged 13.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 34 Spanish League games last season. He got stronger as the season progressed and boosted his numbers to 16.6 points on 45% three-point shooting and 85% free throws in his final 17 games. He was third in three-pointers made (81, 2.4 per game) in the 2013-14 Spanish League regular season. Estudiantes was Kuric's first stop in his professional career after a college basketball career at the University of Louisville. He helped the Cardinals win the Big East Tournament title in 2009 and 2012 and reach the 2012 NCAA Tournament Final Four. Kuric will make his Eurocup debut with Gran Canaria.
