Khimki made its first major move of the
off-season by inking big man Mike Wilkinson to a two-year deal.
Wilkinson (204, 25) arrives from Aris TT Bank, the only team he has
played for in his short professional career. He averaged 12.3 points
and 5.9 rebounds in 19 Euroleague games last season. Wilkinson also
helped Aris to reach the 2006 ULEB Cup Final and advance to the
Euroleague Top 16 last season. He replaces Ruben Wolkowyski at
Khimki, as the latter joined Prokom Trefl Sopot just weeks ago.
"There is no need to say that Wilkinson is a major addition to
out frontcourt," head coach Kestutis Kemzura said.
