On Monday it was officially announced that big man Giorgi Shermadini will be back to FoxTown Cantu until the end of the season. Shermadini (2.16 meters, 25 years old) arrives from CAI Zaragoza, where he didn't make his debut in the Eurocup this season, as he had his contract suspended due to injury. Last season, in Zaragoza, Shermadini played 16 games averaging 9.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists. After that, he moved to Olympiacos Piraeus with which he played the Top 16 and the Playoffs in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague averaging 5.7 points and 3.6 rebounds in 9 games. He had already played with Olympiacos in 2012-13, winning the Euroleague title at the London 2013 Final Four. This will be Shermadini's second stint with Cantu, as he had played in the Italian team in 2011-12 in the Euroleague.
