Jackson Vroman moves to Girona
Akasvayu Girona keeps getting ready for its ULEB Cup debut this season, as it started the week with a new addition. The new face is center Jackson Vroman (208, 26), who arrives to Girona for one season and an option for another. Vroman arrives from Gran Canaria, where last season he played 12 ULEB Cup games averaging 12.6 points and 7.0 rebounds, being the sixth best rebounder in the competition (ranking second in offensive rebounds). Vroman arrived to Gran Canaria from the New Orleans Hornets of the NBA, where he played for two seasons. He played college ball in Iowa State and was picked in the 2004 NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns with number 31. He made his debut with the Suns in the 2004-05 season, but he was sent to the Hornets in January of 2005.
