Khimki lands Pat Burke

Pat Burke A talented center returned to European basketball this week, when Khimki officially announced that Pat Burke inked a deal with his new club for the remainder of the season. Burke (211, 33) arrives from the Phoenix Suns, where he averaged 2.6 points and 2 rebounds in 23 NBA games last season. He was a Euroleague winner with Panathinaikos in 2000, and also helped the Greens to win three consecurive Greek League titles from 1999 to 2001. Burke has also played for Tau Ceramica, Gran Canaria and Real Madrid in Spain, the Orlando Magic in the NBA and Maroussi in Greece. Burke is not a ULEB CUp newcomer either, as he reached the 2004 final with Real Madrid, the team which he helped to win the Spanish League title in 2005. Burke is also the captain of the Irish national team. Burke is ready to help his team right away, as Maciej Lampe stays sidelined due to an eye injury.
