Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem announced the signing of Noel Felix for the reminder of the season with a team option for the following season. Felix (205, 26) is best known in Israel and Europe for an unsuccessful stint with Jerusalem’s biggest rival, perennial Israeli champion Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv. He takes over the roster spot of recently released Marcus Slaughter and will be expected to help out a lot up front in the short term as the team’s leading scorer, power forward Jamie Arnold, is out with knee surgery. Felix averaged just 2.8 points and 1.1 rebounds in 12 Euroleague games last season for Maccabi. He started this season with the Anaheim Arsenal of the NBDL, posting 7.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 11 games. Before arriving in Tel Aviv, he played four seasons of college basketball at Fresno State and spent the following three seasons in China, Carife Ferrara of the second division in Italy, a short term in the Philippines, the CBA and in the 2005-06 season played 12 games for the Seattle Supersonics.
