Hemofarm adds forward Branko Jorovic
Jan 04, 2008
by Aca Ostojic, Belgrade
Forward Branko Jorovic has agreed to terms with Hemofarm and is already practicing with his new team. Jorovic (205, 26) split with Red Star at the end of December without playing a single minute for them. He missed all of last season due to a back injury and after surgery that he had during the summer his comeback is expected in the next couple of weeks. Branko Jorovic grew up with Borac Cacak where he made his debut during the 2000-01 season. He signed in 2003 with FMP Zeleznik. With FMP he won the national cup of Serbia and Montenegro in 2005 and the Adriatic League twice, in 2004 and 2006. He played in 2006 with the national team of Serbia and Montenegro at the World championships in Japan where he suffered the injury. That was the reason he flopped the medical tests in Akasvayu Girona. The team from the Spanish League refused to sign a two-year deal with him and he was back to Belgrade. In the 2005-06 season he played seven Uleb Cup games with FMP Zeleznik averaging 8.1 points and 2.6 rebounds.
