Khimki brings in scorer Clay Tucker
Clay TuckerKhimki has added another strong scoring option with the signing of shooting guard Clay Tucker to a year-and-a-half contract. Tucker (27, 195) arrives from Siviglia Wear Teramo, where he was leading the Italian League in scoring with 21 points per game in 21 appearances so far this season. Tucker added 5.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while at Teramo. He already made his Khimki debut in Saturday’s Russian League game against CSKA Moscow and should make his ULEB Cup debut against the Koln 99ers in the Last 32 in two weeks. Tucker’s European career has consisted of stops with Sundsvall Dragons in Sweden, MENT Vassilakis in Greece and Le Mans in France. He has also played for a number of semipro teams in the United States, the highlight being a then-NBDL-record 51-point performance for the Arkansas RimRockers last season.
