Unics inks Marc Jackson, Terrell Lyday, Igor Zamanskiy

Marc Jackson - Olympiacos Unics Kazan took the first steps to stay competitive in the 2008-09 ULEB Cup season by inking center Marc Jackson, combo guard Terrell Lyday and forward Igor Zamanskiy to respective two-year deals. Jackson (206, 33) arrives from Olympiacos, where he averaged 15.1 points and 6 rebounds in 20 Euroleague games before being released in March. Jackson has also played for the New Orleans Hornets, the New Jersey Nets, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Minnesota Timbervolves and Golden State Warriors in the NBA, Efes Pilsen and Tofas Bursa in Turkey, Cantabria in Spain and Toros de Aragua in Venezuela. Lyday (190, 28) came from Triumph Lyubertsy, where he averaged 14.6 points and 2 assists in 10 ULEB Cup games last season. He has also played for Benetton Treviso in Italy, Ural Great in Russia, Asvel and Cholet in France, Galatasaray in Turkey and Unia Tarnow in Poland. He helped Benetton to win the 2006 SuperCup and the 2007 Italian League titles, as well as lifting the 2006 FIBA EuroCup trophy with Ural. Zamanskiy (202, 30) also arrived from Triumph, where he averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11 ULEB Cup games. He returns to Unics, as he played for his current club from 2001 and 2003. Zamanskiy has also played for Spartak St.Petersburg and Khimki in his native Russia.
