Dynamo Moscow brings back Arriel McDonald

A veteran star guards switched Eurocup teams when Dynamo Moscow announced the arrival of combo guard Arriel McDonald, who inked a one-year deal with the team. McDonald (191, 36) already played for Dynamo in the 2004-05 season, averaging 6 points, 2.6 assists and 1.8 steals in 11 ULEB Cup games. He arrives from Akasvayu Girona, where he averaged 11.9 points on 49.4% three-pointers and 2.2 assists in 17 ULEB Cup games last season. In his three years in Girona, McDonald helped Akasvayu to reach the 2007 ULEB Cup final, win the 2006 FIBA Eurocup and get three consecutive Spanish League playoff appearances. McDonald has also played for Panathinaikos in Greece, Maccabi Tel Aviv in Greece, Olimpija and Krsko in Slovenia, as well as for Castors Braine in Belgium. McDonald helped Olimpija to win three consecutive Slovenian League titles from 1997 to 1999, as well as reaching the Euroleague Final Four in 1997. In his three seasons with Maccabi, from 2000 to 2002, McDonald won the 2001 FIBA SuproLeague title, becoming the final four MVP, as well lifting three Israeli League and three Israeli Cup titles from 2000 to 2002. He also won consecutive Greek League titles with Panathinaikos in 2003 and 2004. He is now taking his experience and know-how back to Dynamo.
