Bilbao Basket brings in Renaldas Seibutis

Renaldas Seibutis Eurocup newcomer iurbentia Bilbao Basket has inked swingman Renaldas Seibutis to a two-year contract, the team announced Tuesday. Seibutis (196, 23) was a highly touted shooting guard, but missed most of last season with a back injury. He underwent a thorough physical examination before his agreement with Bilbao went into affect. Seibutis will be officially introduced on Wednesday morning in Bilbao. He arrives from Olympiacos Piraeus, with whom he saw limited action at the end of the season after returning from the injury. Seibutis has spent the past three years in Greece, averaging 14.6 points in 28 Greek League games on loan at Maroussi in 2006-07. He began his career in his native Lithuania with Sakalai Vilnius. Among his career highlights was being named the MVP of the Under-21 World Championships three years ago in Argentina as he led his team to the gold medal.
