Oostende, coach Vukoicic part ways
Vlada Vukoicic (Photo: bcoostende.be)Base Oostende will head into its crucial Eurocup first qualifying round, second leg game against BC Triumph with a new coach on the sidelines after splitting ways with Vlada Vukoicic. The coach and the club decided it was best to part company after a poor start to the Belgian League season. Accordingly, experienced assistant Umberto Badioli will step in on an interim basis and have the task of leading the club past Triumph and into a second-round matchup against Le Havre. The two teams tied 78-78 in their first leg in Russia. Badioli has already stepped in for crucial European contests in the past. He led Oostende to a crucial ULEB Cup win in Jerusalem in the midst of a coaching change in November 2006.
