Qualifying Round A, Game 2 preview: Buducnost - Galatasaray Cafe Crown
Buducnost has a doable task to advance to the Eurocup regular season as it hosts Galatasaray for the second qualifying round return leg down just 2 points. Head coach Dejan Radonjic's team stayed with the 2008 ULEB Cup quarterfinalist the whole game before losing in the final seconds 85-83 in Turkey. Radonjic's Montenegro club failed to contain Galatasaray's strong forward duo of Milan Gurovic and Dejan Milojevic, who combined for 47 points. Buducnost held Galatasaray to just 5 of 18 (28%) from three-point range, but shot itself in the foot by making just 8-of-17 (47%) from the foul stripe. Forward Vladimir Dasic poured in 23 points, guard Nemanja Gordic added 18 points and forward Vladimir Micov had 13 for Buducnost, but there was not enough support from the rest of the team. Galatasaray head coach Murat Ozyer meanwhile once again relied on Milojevic and Gurovic. Center Andrija Zicic also scored 14 points and guard Antonio Graves had a fine all-around game with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The game could have been more comfortable for Galatasaray if it had not struggled so much from the free-throw line, where it made just 16 of 30 (53%) foul shots. Galatasaray knows that Dasic will work and get his points, but stopping the rest of Buducnost's offensive weapons will be key.
