The Eurocup regular season reached the halfway point on Tuesday with six teams winning big games on the road, some of them joining the ranks of the six undefeated teams by doing so. Unics Kazan, Benetton Treviso, Aris BSA 2003, Spirou Charleroi, Pamesa Valencia and iurbentia Bilbao are the outright group leaders – all with 3-0 records. In Group A, Zadar and ASK Riga both won to share the top spot at 2-1, while Azovmash Mariupol and Asvel Basket did the same in Group E, the latter doing so by scoring a rare win at Gran Canaria on Amara Sy’s last second tip-in in overtime. Three teams won the first time on Tuesday – Fortitudo Bologna, Buducnost and Barons/LMT – while Khimki behind Kelly McCarty, Panellinios behind Ivan Radenovic and Red Star behind the duo of Lawrence Roberts and Tadija Dragicevic improved to 2-1.
