Dynamo signs playmaker Brian Chase
Brian Chase - Le MansDynamo Moscow signed playmaker Brian Chase for the remainder of the season, the club announced Wednesday. Chase (178, 27) helps offset the recent loss of guards Hollis Price and Jannero Pargo, who left the club during the break between the regular season and the Last 16. Chase won't be eligible to play in the Eurocup until the registration period reopens between Games 3 and 4 of the Last 16. He arrives from French club Le Mans, where he averaged 12.4 points and 2.4 assists in 10 Euroleague games this season. He was worth 13.3 points and 3.2 assists in 16 French League appearances. Dynamo will be his third team in three different countries since coming to Europe to play for Besiktas J.K. Cola Turka of Istanbul in Turkey at the end of last season. Chase had previously played in his native United States, first at Virginia Tech University and later for various teams in the NBA Development League.

"Our team needed to find a point guard," team general manager Gennady Drozdov said. "We have half of the season ahead and we will have the most important and decisive games coming up. That’s why we were looking for a point guard with a high level of experience to raise the level of our team. I think that Brian Chase is the best choice for us."
