Benetton Basket brings Bulleri back
A familiar face is back to Benetton Basket Tamoil, as Massimo Bulleri has returned to the team for the remainder of the season, the club announced Monday. Bulleri arrives on loan from Armani Jeans Milano, with an option to keep him until the end of the 2009-10 season. Bulleri already played for Benetton for eight seasons, from 1995 to 2005. He helped Benetton to win consecutive Italian League titles in 2002 and 2003, as well as lifting three Italian Cup trophies in 2000, 2004 and 2005, when he also earned final eight MVP honors. Bulleri also helped Benetton to make it all the way to the 2003 Euroleague final against FC Barcelona. He has averaged 3.7 points and 1.1 assists in 9 Euroleague games with AJ Milano this season. Bulleri has also played for Virtus Bologna, Mestre and Ozzano in his native Italy. Bulleri helped Italy to win a bronze medal at EuroBasket 2003 and the silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Benetton has also announced that Bobby Dixon and Stefan Markovic have been released. Markovic returned to Crvena Zvezda while Dixon is expected to join Le Mans this week.
