Eurocup Final to break TV records
The title game at the 2009 Eurocup Final Eight on Sunday from Turin, Italy will break records again for television coverage. With Eurocup partner Eurosport2 as lead broadcaster, the final between Lietuvos Rytas of Lithuania and BC Khimki Moscow Region of Russia will be seen in 70 countries with a potential audience of 246 million. Eurosport2's broadcast will reach 46 of those countries in Europe, Asia and Oceania. Al Jazeera will broadcast to 23 more countries in the Middle East and Africa. Lietuvos Rytas TV of Lithuania also will provide coverage in Lithuania, while Sport 5 in Israel also airs the final live and Center TV of Russia on tape delay. The success of the title-game broadcast is in addition to Eurosport 2's expansive Eurocup coverage all season long as the competition’s host broadcaster.
