Qualifying Round preview: Brose Baskets vs. KK Buducnost m:tel
vs.
A big showdown for a spot in the Eurocup regular season takes place in Bamberg, Germany, where Buducnost m:tel visits Brose Baskets in Game 1 of their two-way series on Tuesday. Buducnost features mobile big men this season, such as Vladimir Dragicevic and especially Boris Savovic, that can give any team troubles with his versatility and quickness. Marko Lekic and Cedomir Vitkovac round a deep, solid Buducnost frontcourt. Brose relies on Elton Brown to go against Dragicevic. Up-and-coming big man Tibor Pleiss has an interesting matchup against Savovic. Predrag Suput can make the difference for the hosts due to his experience and game knowledge. Brose has a battery of good shooters led by former German League finals MVP Casey Jacobsen. Beckham Wyrick and streak shooter Robert Garrett are set to help Jacobsen in the scoring duties. Garrett, however, has a critical matchup against Nemanja Gordic. Meanwhile, Jacobsen is ready to battle against Marko Simonovic. Buducnost is deeper at point guard with Goran Jeretin and Nikola Otasevic. Brose relies on John Goldsberry to run its offense. Buducnost is set to play more up-tempo due to his athleticism. Expect Brose to play five-on-five offense, looking for Jacobsen to get open shots.
