BC Azovmash signs defensive ace Fred House

Fred House - Pamesa ValenciaBC Azovmash added defensive ace Fred House to its roster over the weekend for the coming season. House (193, 31) arrives from Lokomotiv Rostov of the Russian League, where he averaged 9.4 points and 1.8 steals over 32 games last season. He increased those numbers to 13.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 10 EuroChallenge games. House returns to the competition after a year away having helped Valencia reach the 2008 ULEB Cup Final Eight. He has previously played for Partizan in Serbia, Lietuvos Rytas in Lithuania and Caja Laboral in Spain. Among his career highlights are winning the Serbia & Montenegro championship twice and the Lithuanian League once as well as the 2006 Baltic League. House also took part in the 2007 Euroleague Final Four with Laboral. He was a member of the L. Rytas team that won the 2005 ULEB Cup, but did not take part in any games after the end of the regular season that year due to injury.
