Regular season Week 6 MVP: Mike Taylor, Crvena Zvezda
The Eurocup regular season came to an end with the best individual performances of all winning teams on Tuesday coming from Mike Taylor of Crvena Zvezda with a 35 index rating. Although Terrell Lyday of Unics tied for the same index rating, Taylor is the MVP because his team was victorious in Week 6 while Lyday's was not. The award goes to the player with the best performance for a winning team. Taylor had 24 points on 9-of-12 two-pointers and 6-of-7 free throws as C. Zvezda defeated Benetton Basket 104-83 to win Group F. Taylor added 5 rebounds, an assist, 5 steals, a block and 6 fouls drawn to get that 35 index rating. Lyday had 27 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 6 fouls drawn, but Unics lost 75-78 at home to DKV Joventut. Tied for third-best performances in Week 6 were Alex Mumbru of Bizkaia Bilbao Basket and Simas Jasaitis of Galatasaray Cafe Crown, each with a 32 index rating. Mumbru had 26 points, 3 assists and 11 fouls drawn to lead Bilbao to an 88-89 overtime road win against Spartak St. Peterburg. Meanwhile, Jasaitis downed 5-of-8 three-pointers on his way to 25 points, adding 8 rebounds and 4 steals in Galatasaray's 87-80 home win against BancaTercas Teramo, which was good for qualification to the Last 16. Sammy Mejia of Cholet Basket, with a 30 index rating, completed the top individual performances in Game 6.
