Last 16 Game 1 co-MVPs: Marko Popovic, Unics and Julius Jenkins, Alba Berlin
Marko Popovic - Unics KazanThe Eurocup Last 16 started with best individual performances among winning teams in Week 1 coming from Julius Jenkins of Alba Berlin and Marko Popovic of Unics, each with a 26 index rating. Although Donatas Motiejunas of Benetton Gioco Digitale and Rado Rancik of Galatasaray Cafe Crown had a better performance index ratings, 31 and 27 respectively, Jenkins and Popovic share co-MVP honors because their teams were victorious in Week 6 while Benetton and Galatasaray registered losses against Bilbao Basket and Unics, respectively. The weekly award goes to the player or players with the best performance for a winning team. Popovic shined in his team's Group J road win at Galatasaray, posting 17 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals and 10 fouls drawn for a 26 index. His assists were a career-high in the competition for Popovic. Jenkins had 27 points on 10-of-10 free-throw shooting in a Group I road win at Le Mans. He also had 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 6 fouls drawn to get that 26 index. Motiejunas had a Eurocup career-best performance with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 7 fouls drawn, good for a 31 index. Rancik, the regular season Week 1 MVP, had 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists in Galatasaray's home loss against Unics. Janis Blums of Bilbao and Mike Wilkinson of Galatasaray, each with a 24 index rating, completed the top individual performances in this round.

Gary Neal of Benetton leads all active players in scoring at 20.4 points per game, including the regular season. Rancik pulled down a week-high 13 rebounds against Unics. James Augustine of Gran Canaria 2014 is the best active rebounder left in the competition with 8 per game. Popovic and Yuval Naimy of Hapoel Jerusalem each dished 8 assists to lead their teams to critical road wins in Istanbul and Valencia, respectively. Kris Valters of DKV Joventut is the season-to-date assists leader at 6 per night. Four players - Augustine, Motiejunas, Naimy and Terrell Lyday of Unics - each collected 4 steals in Last 16, Week 1. Lyday leads all Last 16 players in steals at 2.67 per game. Serhiy Lishchuk of Power Electronics Valencia and Oliver Stevic of Crvena Zvezda each had 2 blocks this week. Kosta Perovic of Power VLC leads all Last 16 players in blocks at 1.4 per night. Rancik, Kris Lang of Turk Telekom, Josh Davis of Panellinios, Michalis Kakiouzis of Aris and Ron Lewis of Nymburk collected respective double-doubles in Last 16 Week 1.
