Trento puts Poeta at point
Dolomiti Energia Trento found a new point guard weeks ahead of its Eurocup debut, none other than Peppe Poeta, who inked a one-year deal with his new team on Saturday. Poeta (1.91 meters, 29 years old) arrives from La Bruixa d'Or Manresa, where he averaged 3 points in 6 Spanish League last season, in which he was sidelined for the best part of it. Poeta started his career in Salerno and has played for many other Italian clubs, such as Prima Veroli, Basket Teramo and Virtus Bologna, as well as for Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz in Spain. Poeta played the 2009-10 Eurocup with Teramo, averaging 9.3 points in 8 games. He has also been a member of the Italian national team.
