Last 16 Game 6 MVP: Marc Salyers, Le Mans
Marc Salyers- La MansA big performance in a winning effort to leave the competition in style was required for Marc Salyers of Le Mans to become the Last 16 Week 6 MVP. Salyers led Le Mans to a 79-75 home win against Aris BSA 2003 with 25 points on 6-of-9 two-point shooting and 4-of-5 free throws. He added 8 rebounds, an assists, 2 steals, a block and 5 fouls drawn for a performance index rating of 33. Although Arthur Lee of CEZ Nymburk tied for the same index rating, Salyers is the MVP because Le Mans was victorious in Last 16 Week 6 and Nymburk wasn't. Ironically enough, Nymburk made it to the Quarterfinals despite the loss and Le Mans was already out of the race to reach the next phase. Lee had 22 points on 7-of-7 free throws, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 6 fouls drawn. Sandro Nicevic of Benetton Gioco Digitale had 22 points on 11-of-15 two-pointers and 10 rebounds, good for a 29 index as his team also left the competition with a victory. Yuval Naimy of Hapoel Jerusalem and Mike Wilkinson of Galatasarat Cafe Crown, each with a 28 index in the same game, completed the top individual performances in Last 16 Game 6.

Individual highs: Fatih Solak of Galatasaray, 5 blocks

Naimy and Wilkinson were Last 16 Week 6's best scorers with 27 points apiece in the same game. Hapoel beat Galatasaray 98-111 and set a new Eurocup all-time record for points in one quarter with 44. Darius Washington of Galatasaray was the Last 16 best scorer (24.4 ppg.) while teammates Wilkinson (18 ppg.) and Rado Rancik (17.6 ppg.) was second and third, respectively. Tibor Pleiss of Brose Baskets pulled down 12 rebounds against Benetton to lead this week's standings. Maciej Lampe of Unics was the best rebounder in this phase at 9.5 per game. Evren Buker of Galatasaray dished 8 assists, more than anyone this week, against Hapoel. Naimy was the Last 16 assists champion at 5.7 per night. Daniel Hackett of Benetton and Mark Worthington of Brose Baskets each collected 4 steals this week. Dijon Thompson of Hapoel ranked first in steals in this year's Last 16 at 2.67 per game. Solak had 5 blocks against Hapoel - but hadn't had any in 5 previous Last 16 games. Serhiy Lishchuk of Power Electronics Valencia led the Last 16 blocks table at 1.83 per game. Nicevic, Lampe, Pleiss and Jeremy Richardson of Aris collected respective double-doubles this week.
