Meet the new Fab Five Challenge champ!
FabFive ChallengeCongratulations to Abel Suarez of Spain, the 2009-10 Eurocup Fab Five Challenge champion! The Fab Five Challenge officially ended at the end of the Eurocup Last 16 with Abel and his team "Maquillate! Maquillate!" boasting more points than any other. Abel took over the top spot midway through the Last 16 and held on to become this season's grand prize winner. He scored 85 points in Last 16, Week 6 to wrap up first place and his season-long total of 1,085 points was almost 50 more than runner-up Vladan Lilic of Serbia. Abel will receive as his prize an official Eurocup Finals NIKE basketball signed by the members of the new All-Eurocup team and a signed game jersey from the Eurocup MVP! Abel is now the second winner of the Eurocup Fab Five Challenge, but by no means the only player to earn prizes this week. The last weekly winner of the contest was an old pro, former Euroleague Fantasy Challenge champion Jorge Martinez, with 119.6 points for his team "YA NO HAY SALVAJES COMO KOKE MARTINEZ". Meanwhile, Luka Markovic of Serbia became the Last 16 winner after his team, Da da, had 545.8 points in this phase. Every manager ranking second through 11th in the overall standings will get a prize, too!
