Trento adds swingman Sutton
Dolomiti Energia Trento improved its roster weeks ahead of its Eurocup debut by inking swingman Dominique Sutton to a one-year deal on Friday. Sutton (1.96 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Santa Cruz of the D-League, where he averaged 12.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 48 games last season, helping his team win the title. Sutton started his career with Tulsa of the D-League and also played for Titanes del Distrito Nacional of the Dominican Republic, Ikaros Kallistheas of Greece and Air21 Express of the Philippines. He helped Titanes reach the Dominican Republic League finals in 2013. "Sutton is a versatile player with great athleticism and strong defensive skills," Trento head coach Maurizio Buscaglia said. "He can play more than one role and energy is his greatest feature."
