Mike Penberthy - Snaidero Udine Snaidero Cucine Udine has improved its roster for the upcoming ULEB Cup eighthfinals against Lietuvos Rytas by inking Mike Penberthy for the remainder of the season. Penberthy shined in the ULEB Cup last season, averaging 17.3 points in 10 games with Alba Berlin. Penberthy has also played for Napoli in Italy, where he played alongside current Udine playmaker Jerome Allen, the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA, Hamburg in Germany, Cocodrilos de Caracas in venezuela and the Quad City Thunder in the CBA. He helped Alba to win the German Cup last season.

"We have been following this player for a long time, since the previous summer. We got to know he agreed to break the contact with his former team. I am sorry for Larry O'Bannon but you always have to keep an eye on the player market, it offered this opportunity and we have to pick it up," Snaidero Udine general manager Mario Ghiacci said. "Yesterday evening I went to my house in Reggio Emilia, waiting to get on a flught from Milano to Barcelona to attend the ULEB Cup elimination rounds draw when I got a phone call from Mike announcing he had broke his contract with Reggio. I immediately invited him to my house and reached an agreement in half an hour."
