Krasny Oktyabr inks power forward Johnson
Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd bolstered its frontline by signing power forward JaJuan Johnson, who comes off a strong debut season in the Eurocup. Johnson (2.06 meters, 26 years old) averaged 14.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and was fourth in the competition with 1.4 blocks over 16 Eurocup games last season with Besiktas Istanbul. That was his second season in Europe after suiting up for Pistoia in Italy during the 2013-14 campaign. After a brilliant college basketball career at Purdue University in which Johnson was named the 2011 Big Ten Conference Player of the Year, he began his professional career with Boston in the NBA and later played for Fort Wayne, Canton and Idaho in the D-League.
