Trento signs big man Wright

Dolomiti Energia Trento added size and experience to its roster by inking big man Julian Wright to a one-year deal on Tuesday. Wright (2.03 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Cangrejeros de Santurce, where he averaged 9.7 points and 8.2 rebounds in 13 Puerto Rican League games last season. He started the 2014-15 season with Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos Athens, averaging 3.8 points in 9 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games, and also played for Bnei Herzliya of Israel before joining Cangrejeros. Wright hs also played for New Orleans and Toronto of the NBA, Austin of the D-League, Maccabi Rishon Lezion of Israel and Krasnye Krylia Samara of Russia. He helped Austin win the D-League title in 2012.

"He is a player who can integrate into our group and system very well - Julian is fast, has great dribbling skills and is very dynamic," Trento head coach Maurizio Buscaglia said. "He brings in energy, running and jumping skills and experience, which will help him in his first season in Italian basketball."
