Trento adds young swingman Lofberg
Dolomiti Energia Trento kept getting ready for its Eurocup debut next season by inking promising swingman Johan Lofberg to a three-year deal on Friday. Lofberg (1.99 meters, 20 years old) arrives from Eco Orebro, where he averaged 11.2 points in 30 Swedish League games last season. He has also played for KFUM Goteborg of Sweden and Montepaschi Siena's junior team in Italy. Lofberg shined in the 2015 U20 European Championships Division B this summer, averaging 15.4 points and 5.4 rebounds in 8 games, helping Sweden finish second. Lofberg is set to make his Eurocup debut with Trento next season. "Lofberg is a player with good frame and athleticism. He is a good shooter but has good defensive skills and is getting better in every aspect of the game, year by year," Trento head coach Maurizio Buscaglia said. "He has great room for improvement, has great mentality and is a great worker. We are convinced that will already help us a lot in the upcoming season."
