Veremeenko arrives from Banvit Bandirma of Turkey, where last season he averaged 9.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 22 Eurocup appearances in helping the club to the semifinals of the competition. In the Turkish League, he amassed 10.4 points, 5.1 boards and 1.2 assists.
Before that, Veremeenko had spent six seasons with Unics Kazan, with whom he became a Eurocup champion in 2011 and played the 2011-12 Turkish Airlines Euroleague season. He started his career at Saratov in 2002 and played there for two seasons and also spent two seasons each with Spartak Saint Petersburg and Khimki Moscow Region. Veremeenko needs just 62 points this season to become the seventh player in Eurocup history to reach 1,000 career points.
