Reggio Emilia loses Lavrinovic to knee injury
Going into a do-or-die road game on Wednesday, Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia will be without veteran center Darjus Lavrinovic after he was injured in a domestic game on Sunday. Lavrinovic (2.12 meters, 35 years old) suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee in a game on Sunday night and will have to undergo surgery, his team announced. He will be re-evaluated one month after the operation. Lavrinovic was averaging 10.9 points and 3 rebounds in 15 Eurocup games this season for Reggio Emilia. He had collected the third-most points and second-most blocks on the team in less than 20 minutes per game. Reggio Emilia will play host Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir on Wednesday with the winner advancing to the eighthfinals while the loser's Eurocup season ends.
