2010-11 Eurocup Qualifying Draw
Sixteen Eurocup hopefuls now know what it will take to reach the regular season in the competition after learning their opponents in the Qualifying Round. Only half of the teams in the Qualifying Round will survive to take part in the Eurocup Regular Season Draw, scheduled for Monday, October 14, when the 32 teams set to play in the 2010-11 edition will be divided into eight groups. The 16 teams in the Qualifying Round will each play in a two-leg series with the aggregate winner of each advancing to the Eurocup regular season. The games are set for September 29 and October 6, with the seeded team in each series hosting the second leg. Last season’s Eurocup champion Power Electronics Valencia, semifinalists Bilbao Basket and Panellinios Opap and quarterfinalist Hapoel Jerusalem all started in the Qualifying Round, leaving this season’s 16 teams plenty of reasons for optimism.
