BC Azovmash, House pen extension
Fred House - BC AzovmashBC Azovmash and Fred House signed a one-year contract extension over the weekend. House (193, 32) is a savvy veteran known for his excellent defense and team-first play, all of which contributed to leading Azovmash to last season's Ukrainian League title. House was tied for the Eurocup lead in the regular season last year with 2.8 steals per game to go along with 7.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 0.8 blocks. He arrived to Azovmash from Lokomotiv Rostov of the Russian League and has also played for Partizan in Serbia, Lietuvos Rytas in Lithuania and Valencia and Caja Laboral in Spain. Among his career highlights are winning the Serbia & Montenegro championship twice and the Lithuanian League once as well as the 2006 Baltic League. House also took part in the 2007 Euroleague Final Four with Laboral. He was a member of the L. Rytas team that won the 2005 ULEB Cup, but did not take part in any games after the end of the regular season that year due to injury.
